DESIGN/BUILD GUIDE
What to expect:
Our Visit To Your Home -
On the confirmed meeting date a
representative
will come to your home and:
- Collect this completed Design/Build Guide.
- Review your responses to the "Wish List" and answer any questions you may
have.
- Review the existing structure as required by the scope of the project.
- Collect any additional pertinent documents such as existing blue prints, plot
plans,
surveys, neighborhood covenants or other items that might have
an impact on the project.
- Determine if design services are needed.
- At the conclusion of our visit we will set a follow-up appointment to be
conducted at
our office or your home in approximately ten (10) working
days with a salesman and/or
designer.
If designer is required, design representative will come to your home and:
- Review your responses to the "Wish List" and answer any
questions you may have.
- Measure the existing structure as required by the scope of the project.
- Collect any information you may have which will help the designer to
design an
addition to your specifications and preferences. This information can
be in
the form of magazines, photographs, or your own drawings.
Upon returning to our office we will
create a set of plans depicting existing conditions
and create one or more possible design solutions addressing the goals you
have
established. At your follow up appointment we will:
- Present and guide you
through our initial design proposals.
- Record your likes and
dislikes with those designs.
- Discuss possible
revisions and combinations of design elements.
- Provide elevations,
perspectives, and other 3D views of your design
if needed.
Note: It is very important for you to openly share your likes,
dislikes,
concerns and questions with us during these design discussions.
Hearing what you do not like is often as important as what you do like
in helping us focus on your individual styles. Do not be shy!!!
Budget Considerations:
We ask that you consider a budget range for your remodeling goals.
Please be aware that
we are developing a proposal that is unique to your particular needs.
We will not
know the exact cost of your project until we carefully analyze the final plans
and
your chosen specifications. However, we must keep your budget range in mind
when
preparing the initial proposal.

Remodeling Wish List:
A chart is provided to help you communicate with and guide our design
staff toward
a solution to your unique design needs and to help your salesman make a more
accurate
quote. This chart should also help you sort through and prioritize your thoughts
and
goals for the proposed project. The end result of our design process and personal goal
of our design staff is to create a design that satisfies your individual goals for
function,
aesthetics, and budget. Thank you for your careful attention in completing this
list.

One of our salesmen will be contacting you in the next few days to set
up an appointment

should need more room, just
attach a separate sheet of paper to this form. After your
blanks are filled in, go through
and prioritize your needs/wants numerically in the boxes
provided. (Importance should
decrease as numbers increase, i.e. #1 is more important than
#2)
